My First Quilt

I don't remember what made me order the quilt kit from Craftsy.com.   Somehow I ended up with a coupon and went looking for a quilt with stars that had some red, white and blue in it.  There's other colors too.  I want it to have an Americana feel to it.  The quilt kit is a throw size and is called Stunning Stars Briarwood.  I felt a little thrill when the box of fabric came in.

I decided that I wanted to be able to spend time with my hubby watching TV and also to be able to sew this on my lunch hour at work or wherever I had time to kill.  I also liked the thought of sewing it by hand like era's past.  I've been completing 1 block a day so far.
